My Favorite View of San Diego? A San Diego Bay Cruise

Is there anything more magical than enjoying the views of San Diego’s skyline from aboard a bay cruise ship? As a local, I might be biased, but I think San Diego has one of the most beautiful skylines in the world. And the best view of it is from San Diego Bay.

I recently got to enjoy a sunset cruise on the newly remodeled Admiral Hornblower by City Cruises. Oh wow, what a treat! The company did an amazing job adding beautiful modern amenities and giving the historic facade a bright, new facelift.

The three large indoor decks feel light and inviting, with lots of windows to enjoy the views of the city. While it rarely rains in San Diego, it does get quite chilly at night, especially on the water. If the weather is nice, or you are brave enough, you can of course also enjoy the views from the open-air top deck, for a full 360 view of the city.

We actually experienced one of the few rainy days in San Diego on our cruise day, and it was so nice to be warm and cozy inside, watching the city skyline go by while nibbling appetizers and sipping on delicious cocktails!

Here are some of the most popular City Cruises on the Admiral Hornblower:

  • City Cruises San Diego: Gourmet Dinner Cruise & Skyline Views
  • City Cruises San Diego: Premier Bottomless Mimosa Brunch Cruise
  • City Cruises San Diego: Sights & Sips Cocktail Sunset Cruise
  • City Cruises San Diego: Scenic 90-Minute Narrated Harbor Tour

The Admiral Hornblower is the perfect ship not only for dinner cruises, but also for corporate events, private parties, weddings, and other celebrations. If you are looking to see San Diego from a special point of view, enjoy elevated bites, and a classy atmosphere, then definitely add a cruise on the Admiral Hornblower to your list of things to do in San Diego.

A big thanks to City Cruises and MMGY for inviting me on this special preview cruise to check out the stunning Admiral Hornblower.
