Among the luxurious resorts and major hotel chains, I felt like it was my personal duty to add this charming B&B into the mix. Not just because it’s small and quaint but because it offers a different kind of luxury to its guests and pets.

The luxury I’m talking about is peace and quiet. The small amount of rooms ensures that there will be no screaming children or large groups of people. It also allows for a boost in customer service since there aren’t so many people that the employees need to take care of.

Note that only a few select rooms allow dogs (please double check on the website): Gill, Scripps, Ocean Breeze, Fiesta, Country Village, Birdrock Cottage, and Garden.

While they have a non-refundable cleaning fee for pet stays, the hotel did a fantastic job welcoming us and our four-legged family member. We had a water and food bowl set as well as a fluffy dog bed in our room to welcome us. Also, the hotel grounds are perfect for long walks and the hotel restaurant Twenty/20 Grill has a dog-friendly patio. If you want to explore the area, you can hop in the dog-friendly hotel shuttle, so you don’t even need a car. Read our full review of the Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa here>>
